Big Rain Storm

Got 7" of rain starting about 1 am Wednesday the 17th and finally ending around 11 am on Thursday the 18th. This is the most rain we have had from one storm since we have moved here just a little over 11 years ago.

A song some radio stations are banning, the song you are about to listen to, was played at a Las Vegas Diamond Rio concert. They received an immediate resounding standing ovation, and continue to do so every time they perform it! Sadly, major radio stations wouldn't play it because it was considered politically incorrect'.
Consequently, the song was never released to the public. Now Congress is getting involved.  Your President is saying that is not fit for release because it offends so many. So America , see what you think...

Amber Gemstone

Recently read "The Amber Room" by Steve Berry that mentioned several things about the amber gemstone. I found the following tidbits interesting and wanted to share:

• Amber comes in blue and green which are the rarest
• Red, yellow, brown, black and gold are the most common colors.
• Leo wearing amber would bring good luck per the Romans
• Greeks called it Elektron, substance of the sun
• If you rub a piece with your hands it will produce an electric charge
• Warms to the touch and carries away perspiration
• The vapor contains ethylene that stimulates fruit ripening
• Egyptians used the vapor in the mummifying process
