Updates-Kids, Mom and Things

My son and his wife are here and we have been having a great time visiting. My daughter-in-law and I have been sewing a purse and it has been slow going but we have made some progress. It has been some time since I have sown anything from patterns and needless to say the pattern we picked is a bit complected. We have the front and back and pockets done. Still need to add the pocket on the inside, add the zipper and handles and the lining. Think it will be really cute when done. She wanted to know how to crochet so we have worked on that too. So far she has crochet two scarfs! I've gotten 3 rows done on mine.

We have had several Asian meals and boy were they great! She is a great cook and is a whiz in the kitchen. The kids have gone down to the lake for a couple of nights, for some quality alone time, but when they get back she is going to make Pa-tai. Not sure if that is spelled right or not but it sounds wonderful!

My mom has been going in for test this past week. She sounds pretty good but has had some problems keeping food down.

We went down to the square yesterday and watch the parade for Pancake Day 2012. The parade was awesome and lasted an hour. There were a lot of vendors selling jewelry, outdoor metal art, wood items, food and many more things. We had a great time and it was a beautiful day too! Have lots of photos and will share later and explain what Pancake Day is too.

Oh, kittens are still coming around and getting pretty big now. It is going to be pretty cold this week at time so hope they have a warm place to stay at night.
